site tracking

ok if I don't have real access to iis or its logs what would be the best way to log site traffic
I was thinking of just putting a simple db entry at the top of every page that would log
click to address click from address ip datestamp and then parse all of the entries at a later date the site is fairly small less then 5000 views a month

would this be a viable option or am I barking up the complete wrong tree?Hi,

Please check out my free product,Traffic Monitor. It lets you build all kinds of logs from events on pages: page access, click on a particular button, etc. It predefines output in delimited and IIS log file format. You can define new objects to output to a database or other file format.
